Purpose : This study evaluated the reconstruction precision of respiratory moton induced image pictured by Siemens Sensation Open four-dimensional computed tomography(4D-CT) and the specifications of respiratory gated radiotherapy(Anzai systemR)
Materials and Methods : Respiratory gating and triggering were performed with respiratory phantom motion of normal(sine curve) mode and 10 rpm. 4D-CT images were acquired at the breathing phase of exhalation 100%, exhalation 75%, exhalation 50%, exhalation 25%, exhalation 0%, inhalation 25%, inhalation 50%, inhalation 75%, respectively in triplets.
Results : Internal target volume(ITV) calculated in phantom was 104.67 cc. ITVs delineated in Oncentra planning computer were 99¡¾2.53 cc with respiratory gating, 102¡¾1.82 cc with respiratory triggering. Comparing with calculated ITV, gating made a 5% error and triggering a 2%.
Conclusion : In respiratory gated radiotherapy(4D-CT and Anzai systemR), respiratory triggering reflected ITV more presicely than gating.
